Wine Bar Cited For Manager's Alleged Tasting
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A Frederick wine bar faces a possible $300 fine for letting a manager drink on duty. The boss says the manager was just testing the wine after a customer complained.
The Frederick News-Post reports that the Frederick County liquor board cited The Wine Kitchen after a manager was seen taking two drinks of wine behind the bar.
At a county liquor board hearing Monday, the license holders acknowledged the manager took two sips after a customer complained the wine was bad.
The liquor board ordered a $300 fine but agreed to waive the payment if the restaurant has no more violations in the next 90 days.
The restaurant said Tuesday it's happy with the outcome.
