Wife Arrested In Alleged Attempt To Poison Husband
BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a women for allegedly attempting to poison her husband.
Officers responded to the unit block of 9th Avenue in Brooklyn Park on Monday night around 8:29 p.m. for a domestic assault.
A 48-year-old man told police he was having an argument with his wife of 22 years over her drug use and left afterwards for a short period of time.
When he returned home, he was getting ready for bed, which includes taking medicine, and when he opened the bottle he noticed the pills were sticking together and there a residue was on the pills and an odor similar to "Raid" coming from the bottle.
The wife, Sandra Jeane Skyrczuk, was arrested and when she was taken into the Northern District she was searched and an officer found a heart pill in her pocket. She told police she laced the pills with Raid in order to get her husband sick, police said.
Skyrczuk, 49, was charged with poisoning, first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment.
