Who Besides Tiger Woods?
Ron Sirak, Executive Editor of Golf World Magazine (@RonSirak), joins the Norris & Davis Show on Baltimore's 105-7 THE FAN to regularly to discuss all things golf. The 76th Master's Tournament is ready to tee off at Augusta, GA. Tiger Woods is starting to get everything clicking and is favored by many to win. But, there are some dark clouds on the horizon for Tiger.
Who thought there could be more after his extremely public argument/wreck/breakup with his wife and the mistresses that came forward then the tell-all books written by his former caddy and former swing coach?
A recent article tells of a distant Tiger Woods who hasn't spoken to members of his late-father's first marriage in over 6 years. It reports that Tiger has not yet lent support to one of them that suffers from multiple sclerosis.
Mr. Sirak is not surprised by the latest article, 'Tiger has these half-siblings out there but Tiger has never really been close to them. Tiger was brought up separately. Really as an only child. Looking for Tiger to reach out to them in an emotional or financial way is outside his strikezone.'
He's covered 25 Masters but Sirak is very excited about the atmosphere surrounding this weekend's festivities adding that Tiger is extremely focused right now. Focused but with one big difference than in the past according to Sirak, 'Tiger's mood swings on the golf course are less extreme than they used to be. He gets less angry when he hits a bad shot. He gets less excited when he hits a great shot. That may be part of the maturity, the emotional development he's gone through because of the personal crisis he's gone through over the last two years.'
