White House Serves Up Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner
Baltimore (WJZ) --- President Barack Obama and his family have a lot to be thankful for, including this year's Thanksgiving menu.
The White House Thanksgiving menu has a variety of meats, vegetables, sides and desserts the First Family will get to enjoy.
For dinner, they have a choice between thyme roasted turkey, honey-baked ham or both! To accompany their meat, they have the option of enjoying oyster stuffing, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato gratin and mashed potatoes.
First Lady Michelle Obama is known for living a healthy lifestyle. Her health initiative, Let's Move, has helped kids fight obesity, eat healthier and stay active. It's likely she'll make sure Malia and Sasha have the braised winter greens and green bean casserole on their plates. Also, Thanksgiving isn't complete unless their are dinner rolls.
For dessert, the First Family has six pies they can indulge in. They'll be able to choose from banana cream, coconut cream, pumpkin, apple, pecan and cherry.
The First Family plans on spending their Thanksgiving dinner with family members.
