Weekend Work To Close Blue, Yellow Line Stations
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Free shuttle buses will replace trains on a portion of the blue and yellow lines this weekend.
Metro says that starting Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through closing on Sunday, buses will replace yellow and blue line trains between Braddock Road and Pentagon City. Two intermediate stations will close, including Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Metro says travelers using express buses to travel from Braddock Road to Pentagon City should add 15 minutes to their travel times. Those using buses that make intermediate stops should add up to 20 minutes.
Other lines will also experience delays. Metro says riders on the red line north of Medical Center may experience longer waits. Trains will run every 16 minutes on the green line and every 20 minutes on the orange line.
