Weekend Work Affecting 4 Of Metro's 5 Lines
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro trains will share a track along portions of four of the system's five lines this weekend.
Metro says that on the red line trains will share a single track between Dupont Circle and Friendship Heights and between Takoma and Forest Gen. Trains will operate approximately every 30 minutes.
On the orange and blue lines, meanwhile, trains will share one track between Smithsonian and Eastern Market. Trains will run at roughly 13 minute intervals.
And on the green line trains will share one track between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten and between Naylor Road and Branch Ave. Trains on the yellow and green lines will operate every 15 minutes as a result.
