Washington Monument's Historic Cornerstone Unveiled
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- What does a 200-year-old cornerstone look like?
Mount Vernon Place Conservancy officials publicly unveiled the Washington Monument's historic cornerstone.
It was temporarily removed and opened on February 18th.
Its original contents will remain in archival storage but the Cornerstone will not be replaced empty.
New contents will be placed inside, including a 3D replica of George Washington.
