Washington Co. Theater To Close After 27 Seasons
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater in downtown Hagerstown is expected to close in April after more than two dozen seasons.
Co-owner Jeff Czerbinski tells The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown newspaper that the troubled economy and a lack of interest from the public have led to the theater's closing.
Czerbinski says the dinner theater near City Hall has a small regular base of customers, but not enough to support its operations.
The playhouse's website says there will be a farewell show in April with highlights from the past 27 seasons.
