Walker Leads Loyola Over Manhattan 62-50
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Shane Walker led four Loyola (Md.) players in double figures with 13 points in a 62-50 win over Manhattan on Thursday night.
Erik Etherly and J'hared Hall added 12 points apiece and Justin Drummond had 11 for the Greyhounds (4-15, 2-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who won for the fifth time in their past six games.
Loyola led 34-32 with 15:30 left and went on an 11-2 run to lead 45-34 on Hall's 3-pointer with 11:18 remaining.
The Greyhounds pushed their lead to as many as 14, 62-48, on Brian Rudolph's layup with 41 seconds to play.
Loyola shot 42.9 percent from the field (21 of 49), while holding the Jaspers to 38.6 percent shooting (22 of 57).
Two players had double-doubles for the Jaspers (3-16, 1-7) -- George Beamon had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Demetrius Jemison added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Rhamel Brown had 12 points for Manhattan.
