Waldorf Man Convicted Of Killing Teen During Robbery
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Waldorf man has been convicted of fatally shooting a 17-year-old during a robbery at his home.
Prosecutors say 23-three-year-old Kelvin Delonte Walker was convicted this week of first-degree murder and other charges in the 2011 slaying of Justin Isaacs of Temple Hills. He faces a maximum of life plus 20 years in prison at sentencing Sept. 18.
Authorities say Isaacs was walking home on Oct. 10, 2011, when he was confronted by Walker and another man. Prosecutors say when the men demanded property, Isaacs ran up one flight of stairs to his home.
Officials say one man grabbed Isaacs while Walker shot him four times, took a gold chain and money from the teen, and ran away.
Isaacs' mother found her son on the stairs.
