Vigil For Transgender Woman Found Dead In Md.
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Friends and family of a 25-year-old transgender woman who was found dead last month remembered her in a vigil in Baltimore.
About 50 people gathered Friday to remember Anthony Trent, who was known as Tyra. Her body was found Feb. 19 in a vacant home in Northwest Baltimore.
The vigil was organized by Trans-United director Sandy Rawls. The group provides help to members of the transgender community, and Rawls had been helping Trent get her GED and formally change her name.
Police have not yet made any arrests in Trent's death.
