Victorious Giants Return Home As NFC Champions
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The NFC Championship trophy has landed.
The Giants, fresh off their 20-17 conference title win over the 49ers, are back in the Tri-State area.
Welcome home, Eli & Co.!
The team announced shortly before 7 a.m. that their United Airlines flight from San Francisco had arrived in New York.
"Your (Giants) have landed and return home as NFC champions! #allin," Big Blue posted to their official Twitter account.
Next up, a Super Bowl rematch against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. New York put the finishing touches on their "Revenge Tour" Sunday night, though it'll be Brady seeking redemption Feb. 5 in Indianapolis.
But for now, before kicking off two long weeks full of game prep and media appearances, the Giants will enjoy standing atop the NFC heap.
"Just landed back home," tweeted Giants defensive end Justin Tuck. "But I feel like I'm still flying."
