Veterans Day Commemorations Planned Across Md.
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will join a Veterans Day march, and events are planned across Maryland to honor veterans.
The Baltimore march begins at 9 a.m. Monday and will proceed from the Washington Monument to the War Memorial Plaza. Rawlings-Blake will also speak at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the War Memorial.
Commemorations are also planned Monday across the state. Early Monday, a group of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts will gather in Gaithersburg for their annual ride to Arlington National Cemetery to honor veterans. The ride departs at 8 a.m.
St. Mary's County will host a parade in Leonardtown beginning at 10 a.m. In Rockville, the City Council and mayor will lead a ceremony for veterans at 11 a.m.
Towson University is hosting a veterans film series through Nov. 22.
