Va. Teen Charged In Hit-And-Run Death
LORTON, Va. (AP) -- Virginia State Police say a 19-year-old Woodbridge woman has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other charges are possible following a hit-and-run death near Lorton.
State Police say Carol Rood Johnson has been charged in the accident early Saturday on Interstate 95 near Lorton. Police say the unidentified victim had pulled onto the shoulder on the northbound lanes and was standing next to the vehicle when he was struck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Washington Post reported Sunday that authorities say the vehicle believed to have struck the man was found later Saturday in Prince George's County.
