Va. Family On PBS Show About Md. Vacation Getaway
MCHENRY, Md. (AP) -- An Arlington, Va., family and their friends are set to share their vacation in far western Maryland with millions of television viewers.
The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce says Mike Piet, his wife Alexis and at least eight guests were filmed in September during a nearly week long, all-expense-paid trip to Deep Creek Lake.
The Piet family will be featured in a February episode of the PBS show, "Getting Away Together."
Sponsors say the new program tells the stories of families and friends vacationing together at rental homes, villas and condos across America.
