UPS Truck Catches Fire In Landover
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a United Parcel Service delivery truck caught fire inside a warehouse in Landover, damaging packages and doing an estimated $20,000 in damage to the truck.
The Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says firefighters were called at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Brady says a sprinkler system inside the warehouse at 8440 Ardwick Ardmore Rd. activated and kept the fire in check until officials arrived.
Brady says 35 firefighters responded and that the damage was limited to one truck. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
