Union Station's Main Hall Reopens After Repairs
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The main hall of Union Station in Washington has reopened after repairs were made to a ceiling damaged by the 5.8-magnitude quake in August.
The hall reopened on Sunday afternoon. It had been closed since Friday evening after officials said a small piece of plaster fell from the ceiling.
Crews have hung netting to prevent any more plaster from falling until the ceiling restoration is completed. That work is scheduled to begin this week.
