U.S. Targets Drug Traffic In Cecil & Frederick Counties
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration says it's targeting drug trafficking in Cecil and Frederick counties with additional federal funds for law enforcement.
They are among 12 counties nationwide that the Office of National Drug Control Policy designated Thursday as high-intensity drug trafficking areas.
The counties will share $660,000 aimed at developing strategies to fight their unique drug-trafficking problems.
The program has designated at least 28 other high-intensity drug trafficking areas since 1988.
