U-Md.-Hagerstown Holding Renaissance Fundraiser
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The University of Maryland at Hagerstown is undergoing a renaissance -- complete with capes and crowns.
It's all part of the Elizabethtowne Feaste and Frolic Friday evening at the downtown institution.
School officials say they're transforming the adjacent courtyard into a miniature Renaissance festival featuring actors from the Maryland Renaissance Festival.
The annual event is a scholarship fundraiser. Proceeds in the past three years have enabled the school to award 10 scholarships of $2,500 each.
