2 Boys Charged In Church Arson In Dundalk
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)—Two boys, 12 and 13 years old, have been charged with second-degree arson in connection with last week's multi-alarm fire at Pleasant Zion Baptist Church in Dundalk.
The boys, both from Dundalk, also were charged with second-degree burglary, destruction of property and reckless endangerment.
Police said the investigation showed that the boys entered an unlocked shed at the rear of the church where they found gasoline and a lighter. One of the boys poured the gasoline, and the other used the lighter to set it on fire.
The investigation found no evidence of a racial motive.
The investigation remains open, and there may be additional charges filed against additional suspects.
