2 Arrested In Home Invasion Robbery
COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County police have arrested two men in a home invasion robbery.
Police arrested Jordan Ingram, 23, and Dennis Smith, 24. The men were charged with robbery, theft and burglary. Ingram was also charged with assault.
Police say the men knocked on a door in the 9000-block of Watchlight Court just after 3:30 a.m. on March 28. When the victim answered the door, he was struck on the head. The victim said three masked men came in and stole a safe from his closet and then one man assaulted him again before they left. He suffered minor injuries.
He told police the safe contained gold, jewelry, prescription medication and cash.
Police say a witness told police a white SUV left the area. The safe was found nearby.
Police say they received a tip that Ingram and Smith were involved. Ingram was pulled over driving a white SUV and was arrested. Smith turned himself in. The third suspect is still at large.
