2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Vacant NW Baltimore Home
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A fire broke out at a vacant three-story building in Baltimore Friday.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at a home in the 1300 block of North Fremont Avenue. The flames left behind significant damage and spread to neighboring buildings.
No injuries were reported, fire officials said.
The city's firefighters union on Twitter Friday afternoon said a minimal number of units were initially dispatched as part of a new response policy that reduces the initial response for calls, which the union has opposed.

The union called the policy "a complete failure" and said it should be eliminated, adding it puts lives at risk.
