All Lanes On I-95 Back Open After Tractor-Trailer Crash, Fire
ARBUTUS, Md. (WJZ/AP) -- Authorities say all lanes of northbound Interstate 95 near the Baltimore Beltway have reopened after a tractor-trailer crashed and caught fire.
The State Highway Administration says all lanes just south of Interstate 695 in the Arbutus area are now open, but delays extended for a time to the Howard County line.
Maryland State Police say the blaze started around 3 a.m. Tuesday after the tractor-trailer hit a disabled tow truck being towed away by a second tow truck. The tractor-trailer driver was able to get out before his vehicle was engulfed and no injuries were reported.
A Maryland Department of Environment hazardous materials crew responded to clean up gas spilled on the highway.
