Towson Library Reopened After Being Evacuated
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- The Towson Library has reopened after being closed earlier in the day because of a bag that officials considered suspicious.
Baltimore County police were contacted around 11:15 a.m. Saturday by a caller who reported seeing two men leave a black bag under a bench.
Police evacuated the library and several nearby businesses and closed a section of York Road while they investigated.
Police say the bag contained only clothes, and the men who left it there told officers that it was intended for the homeless.
