Top Aide To Gov. O'Malley Leaving For Private Sector
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A top aide to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is leaving for the private sector.
Joseph C. Bryce, the governor's chief legislative officer, announced Friday that he is leaving to join the lobbying firm of Manis Canning & Associates in Annapolis.
Bryce, 44, held the same position under former Maryland Gov. Parris N. Glendening. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and of Georgetown University's law school.
O'Malley later appointed Stacy Mayer as his chief legislative officer. Mayer had been Bryce's deputy.
O'Malley, a Democrat and the former mayor of Baltimore, has two years remaining in office.
