Tony Blair To Speak At Loyola University
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is scheduled to speak at Loyola University in Baltimore.
The university says Blair will deliver the inaugural Hanway Lecture in Global Studies at Reitz Arena Tuesday night.
Blair was prime minister from 1997 to 2007. He ousted the Conservative Party from power seven years after the resignation of Margaret Thatcher, who died on Monday. University officials noted Blair's investment and reform of schools and hospitals and his international bridge-building experience, which embodies the Jesuit university's obligation to serve others on an international scale.
Loyola says tickets for the speech are sold out.
