The Ravens Sign Justin Forsett To 1-Year Deal
BALTIMORE (105.7 The FAN/BALTIMORE RAVENS) -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed former running back Justin Forsett to a one-year deal.
Forsett, 28, formerly played with the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He's a six-year NFL veteran who has appeared in 87 career games (seven starts). He has recorded 347 carries for 1,692 yards (4.9 avg.) and eight touchdowns.
The Jaguars released Forsett last month. He had appeared in nine games before being placed on injured reserve because of a foot injury.
Originally selected by Seattle in the seventh-round of the 2008 NFL Draft (California), Forsett has also compiled 115 receptions for 850 yards and one touchdown.
Forsett's best season came in 2009 with the Seahawks when he posted 114 rushes for 619 yards and four touchdowns, adding 41 receptions for 350 yards and one score.
Gary Kubiak worked with Forsett in Houston and he's another player that will be familiar with the scheme that he wants to bring to Baltimore's offense.
