The Norris & Long Show Best Of - Week Of October 22nd
This week's edition of the Norris & Long Show best of includes interviews with Ralph Russo of the Associated Press on all things college football, and CBS Sports NFL analyst Solomon Wilcots on the Ravens and other NFL topics.
RALPH RUSSO
Ralph started off by talking about the Big 12 Conference and their decision not to expand and how that could leave little room for error in making the college football playoff saying "that's possible, the other side of that is if you get 12 and set up a championship game you give your best team a chance to lose and miss out on the playoffs...there are a lot of problems there that expansion doesn't necessarily fix."
Ralph went on to talk about service academy teams, the strength of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and what has gone wrong at Notre Dame and who is to blame for it.
SOLOMON WILCOTS
Solomon started by talking about the Ravens facing the Jets and the Jets quarterback situation saying "they're going to go ahead and give Geno a shot, his future will be decided over the next few weeks depending upon what he does with it...I think throughout this training camp process Geno has proven to be better than Hackenberg and Petty, it's totally up to Geno as to what happens after this year."
When he was asked about the Packers vs Bears game tonight Solomon said "well you better watch out for Jordan Howard a young kid out of Indiana, if the Green bay Packers don't bring their run defense tonight they're in trouble...if you're the Green Bay Packers this has to be business as usual, this hasn't looked like the Aaron Rodgers we're used to."
