Number 5: The San Antonio Spurs' Streak Snapped
On Thursday Night
The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder last night 102-82 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The Spurs still lead the series 2-1, however, the lose snapped their twenty game win streak.
Number 4: The Pro Bowl Will Be Played
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced this week the Pro Bowl will be played next January in Honolulu, Hawaii. This announcement comes after Goodell previously said he considered canceling the game after lack of effort in last year's Pro Bowl. The 33rd Pro Bowl will be played January 27th, a week before the Super Bowl.
Number 3: Serena Williams Upset At The French Open
On Tuesday, Serena Williams lost in the First Round of the French Open to Virginie Razzaro. The loss is the first time Serena has ever lost in the First Round in a tournament. She entered the match 46-0 in First Rounds at Grand Slam Tournaments.
Number 2: The Loyola Greyhounds Win First National Championship
The Loyola Greyhounds Men's Lacrosse Team won its first NCAA National Championship on Monday after they defeated the Maryland Terps 9-3.
Number 1: The Orioles' Bad Luck
The Baltimore Orioles have suffered a 5-game losing streak, with their last win being on May 25. Meanwhile, Right Fielder Nick Markakis suffered a fractured wrist and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. He will undergo surgery today in Florida to repair the injury.
