The FAN Sports Update: Peyton, Penn State And Pouha
Peyton Manning spent the weekend flying across the country to try and decide where he will play football in 2012. First it was Denver, then Arizona. Manning has no other visits planned as of now, but could talk with other teams such as Miami or Tennessee.
Penn State Board of Trustees, who is continuing to be faced with criticism from alumni and students for the firing of Joe Paterno, released a statement Monday saying that Paterno was fired because of lack of leadership. The board found out that Paterno fulfilled his legal obligation by telling his superiors of Jerry Sandusky's alleged involvement in child sexual abuse, but should have done more.
NBA- 7 games on the schedule highlighted by the Knicks in Chicago to take on the Bulls. The Wizards take on the Spurs in San Antonio, the T-Wolves are in Phoenix to face the Suns and the Celtics will stay in LA to face the Clippers.
NFL- The Jets locked up nose tackle Sione Pouha, signing him to a 3-year deal. Terms were not immediately available, but the Jets said locking him up was a top priority.
