Terps Head Coach Sasho Cirovski On USA Vs Argentina In The Copa America Semi-Finals
Sasho Cirovski is the current Head Coach for the University Of Maryland Men's soccer team.
Sasho joined Ed and Steve to talk about the US Men's National Team taking on Argentina tonight.
Sasho started out by talking about the chances for USA tonight against Argentina saying "yes we can beat Argentina but it will take a very aggressive near perfect game that will need perfect goal-tending...however, this is a tall task this Argentina team is world class." As for the overwhelming odds the US seem to face tonight Sasho said "we've always played our best soccer when we've been an underdog it's a great place for our team to be, it reminds me of when we beat Spain in the Confederations Cup."
When asked about the suspended players for tonight's game Sasho said "it's a huge loss for them, Jermaine Jones is playing as well as he has played since the World Cup...Bobby Wood is huge because he gives you that counter attacking ability and he has a great work rate up front." Sasho also talked about where this game stands in terms of importance for the nation saying "it's really hard to put into context, I don't buy that this is the biggest game or even among the biggest game in our country's history...it's a very big game, but wouldn't put the hype on it of a World Cup quarterfinal or qualifying game."
