Tenn. Couple Arrested In Md. Homicide

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say a Nashville, Tenn., couple has been charged in the slaying of a Germantown woman.

Officers say Preeta Paul Gabba, 49, was found Saturday in the road in Germantown, suffering from a gunshot wound. She died at a hospital.

Police say an investigation led them to discover that Preeta Gabba's ex-husband and his wife were in Montgomery County the weekend that she was killed. Officers say Baldeo Taneja, 62, had failed to appear in court in Maryland on Oct. 10.

Police obtained warrants charging Taneja and his wife, 63-year-old Raminder Kaur, with first-degree murder.

Taneja and Kaur were arrested Sunday in Nashville. They are being held pending extradition to Maryland.
