Teen Driver In Crash That Killed 2 Sought

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police have issued an arrest warrant for a driver in a two-vehicle crash in Capitol Heights that killed two people.

The warrant charges Ronald Hayes Jr., 18, of Washington with vehicular manslaughter, negligent manslaughter and other offenses.

Police say about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, officers tried to stop Hayes after receiving a report of shots fires. Authorities say Hayes took off in his car, speeding with the car's headlights off.

Officers say Hayes slammed into a minivan at Hill Road and Central Avenue.

The driver of the minivan, 23-year-old Brittney Everett of Washington and a passenger, 21-year-old Brittney Queen of Capitol Heights, died. Four others in the minivan were hospitalized, as were Hayes and his passenger.

Police say there is a reward for information leading to Hayes' arrest and indictment.
