Teen Dies After Laurel Hotel Shooting, Police Seeking 2 Persons Of Interest
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police are searching for two persons of interest in the shooting death of a 19-year-old Landover Hills man.
Investigators say officers responded to the Knights Inn at 3380 Laurel Fort Meade Road around 3 p.m. June 25.
They say the young man, identified as Dalan Plummer, had been shot in the upper body, and was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma.
He was initially listed in critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries on July 3.
Shortly after the shooting, witnesses told police they saw two black males approach the victim and, after a brief conversation, one of them pulled out a gun and fired at him.
Investigators believe these two men were captured on video surveillance at a McDonald's just prior to the shooting.
Detectives have also discovered a vehicle they believe the men were traveling in. Video from the Exxon Gas station located at 3384 Laurel Fort Meade Road shows them arriving in a silver or gray colored car that appears to be a Chevy Malibu.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in the shooting death of Plummer, the sixth homicide in Anne Arundel County this year.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward by calling the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. If people with information wish to remain anonymous they can also contact the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
