Teen Charged In Hagerstown Stabbing
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown police have charged a 17-year-old as an adult with attempted first-degree murder in the stabbing of a man.
Matthew Smith of Hagerstown is being held without bail in Saturday night's stabbing. He is accused of stabbing Nelson Fuentes, 23, 19 times in the back and abdomen.
Police say Fuentes' wounds are not life-threatening.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that according to charging documents, Smith forced his way in the Arc residence, were Fuentes lives, and began stabbing him. Smith allegedly was angry that Fuentes had spent time with his girlfriend.
