Team USA World Cup Wrap Up With Dan Levy
Dan Levy, the national lead writer for BleacherReport.com, joins Scott and Travis on the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about the aftermath of U.S. soccer's loss in the World Cup.
Levy certainly understands the fans' frustrations with losing in the knockout round, but emphasized the accessibility of watching soccer in America.
"It's hard to lose, because you think 'well now we have four more years to wait,' but you can watch these guys. You can get invested in other leagues year-round," said Levy.
Levy also sees interest in the game growing within the country due to very high TV ratings.
"If you combine Univision and ESPN [ratings], 22 million people watched the game on a Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully, people will stick around and the sport will grow here."
Levy also spoke about the possibility of the U.S. team drawing talent from other countries for future Cups, acknowledging it's likely that America will have more foreign talent in years to come.
