SYKESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man and a woman were killed after a fire broke out in their Sykesville home Thursday night.
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. on the property of a historic home in the 900 block of Raincliffe Road. The smaller home on the property, used as a caretaker home, caught fire.
Firefighters found the first victim in the stairwell inside the home. The second victim was found on the second floor.
The fire was reported by a resident of the main home.
Crews knocked down the fire in about 30 minutes. Firefighters from Baltimore, Carroll and Howard Counties all responded to the incident.
