Suspects Sought in Walmart Gift Card Thefts
MT. AIRY, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are asking for help to identify four women suspected of stealing thousands of dollars worth of gift cards from a Carroll County Walmart.
Just before 3 p.m. on July 26, the four women, dressed in all black save for one who was also wearing a pink ball cap, went into the store located in the 200 block of East Ridgeville Boulevard in Mt. Airy, according to police.
The suspects used an undisclosed "theft scheme" to bilk the store out of more than $11,000 in Visa gift cards, police said. Then investigators believe they left in a blue SUV.
