Suspect In Md. Shooting Incident Arrested In NYC
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a man sought in a shooting incident earlier this month in Hagerstown has been arrested in New York City.
Authorities say Alex Garcia, 27, of Hagerstown was arrested Monday in Brooklyn, N.Y. after he tried to run over a U.S. marshal.
Local law enforcement officials say on June 2, someone fired a pistol at a man and a woman pushing a baby stroller near Hagerstown. No one was hit. Police say the two men had been involved in a fight the day before.
Locally, Garcia is charged with attempted first-degree murder and numerous other offenses.
