Suspect In Grandparents' Slaying Extradited To Md.
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police say a man charged with killing his grandparents in Pikesville has been extradited from Oklahoma to face murder charges.
Police say Matthew Long, 31, was transported from Oklahoma on Wednesday and is now being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Long faces two counts of first-degree murder in the slayings last month of Vaughn George Pepper, 87, and Marjorie Marie Pepper, 85.
Long had been hospitalized after what police say was an apparent suicide attempt.
Police have said the weapons used to kill the Peppers were a pair of 20-pound dumbbells and a knife.
