Suspect In Baltimore Police Chase Linked To Ky. Triple Homicide
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police have identified 16-year-old Jason Hendrix as the suspect involved in a high-speed pursuit through Baltimore County that led investigators to a triple homicide in Kentucky.
The suspect is dead and one officer was wounded.

A two-county police chase late Saturday morning ended with officers draping a white tarp over a green SUV. The driver lost his life in a shootout with Baltimore County police.
It all started at the Maryland House rest stop in Harford County when state troopers tried to stop a speeding SUV.
"State police broke off their pursuit around Exit 47 when the vehicle went across the median across northbound lanes of travel and exited the highway," said Cpl. John Wachter, Baltimore County Police Department.
Baltimore County police picked up the pursuit. In the middle of it, the SUV hit another vehicle, causing the chase to end at 702 and Hyde Park Road.
That's when investigators say gunfire came from the SUV, hitting one officer.
"Officers then returned fire. The suspect in the vehicle, who was the only occupant in the vehicles, was declared deceased at the scene," Wachter said.
Inside was 16-year-old Jason Hendrix, who has now been linked to a triple murder in Corbin, Kentucky. Investigators there discovered college professor Dr. Sarah Hendrix, her husband Kevin and their daughter Grace dead inside the couple's home.
Neighbors nearby are shaken.
"This doesn't happen very often in Corbin and especially in this neighborhood," said Jody Botner.
Police in Maryland and Kentucky are teaming up to determine the link between the suspect and the three homicide victims.
Investigators say the officer injured in the shootout was wearing a bulletproof vest. Medics rushed him to Shock Trauma. He was treated and sent home.
The motive of the Kentucky shooting is still a mystery.
