Summit Focuses On Criminal Justice System
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A conference in Baltimore is focusing on how minority adolescents and teenagers are being treated in Maryland's criminal justice system.
The conference at Morgan State University on Wednesday will focus on whether minority youth are disproportionately represented in prison.
Organizers say they expect about 350 participants, with representatives from fields including law enforcement, corrections, education and child welfare.
The conference runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Morgan State's Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
