Summer Best Dressed Sale Is Underway
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- It's a bargain hunters' paradise! The annual Summer Best Dressed Sale is underway at the Evergreen Museum and Library on North Charles Street.
Ron Matz reports the two-day event started Tuesday morning---and it's all for a great cause.
The hunt is on---from women's summer jackets to men's ties, this is the place for Baltimore bargain hunters.
"I've got shoes, umbrellas and pocketbooks," said Delores Fosque. "Nice stuff and good prices."
What happens at the Carriage House at Evergreen is a benefit for Johns Hopkins Hospital.
"We raise funds that all go towards patient care. We also give a full scholarship to the school of medicine and a full scholarship to the school of nursing," said Laurie Long, Johns Hopkins Hospital Women's Board. "We have shoes, we have designer clothes, handbags that are gorgeous, lots of dresses and slacks. We have men's clothing, too. We have ties and shoes, lots of slacks and shirts, designer shirts for $15. Men should come out, too."
The guys are shopping and helping.
"I had to get a couple of things here; a couple of shirts and a pair of pants. The quality is so good, you can't pass it up," said Wayne Austin.
"I have a whole stack of clothes but it's not all mine. Half of it is my husband's, so I didn't just shop for myself. I got some good buys," said Sharon Gibala.
The Summer Best Dressed sale continues Wednesday at Evergreen on North Charles Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
