Stuck Trucks Back Up I-70 For Hours In Western Md.
MYERSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland State Highway Administration says traffic on westbound Interstate 70 near Frederick is moving again after it backed up overnight behind some disabled tractor-trailers.
Spokeswoman Kim Frum says all three lanes west of Frederick were closed from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. Thursday because a number of trucks couldn't make the grade up Braddock Mountain on the slippery, snow-covered highway.
She says road crews also got stuck.
Frum says traffic was rerouted onto U.S. 40 but it was tricky. Vehicles had to back down an entrance ramp off the interstate.
