Storms Knock Out Power To Thousands In D.C. Area
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Thousands of residents in the Washington area are waking up without power following overnight storms.
As of 7 a.m. Monday, Pepco was reporting about 2,000 customers without power on its website. About 1,450 of the outages were in Washington, and the rest were in Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland.
Baltimore Gas and Electric was reporting about 430 outages, mostly in Baltimore City and Harford County.
Dominion Virginia Power says about 815 customers do not have power in the northern Virginia area.
