Steve Davis: Tiger Choked!
It's simple. Tiger choked over the weekend.
He started the day in third place, and finished in 53rd. He was one shot out of the lead 6 holes into the final round, and he ended up with 5 bogeys. It was his worst performance EVER when he started the final round third or better. Phil Mickelson beat him by 11. Tiger might have more majors and more wins, but Phil has beat him 5 straight times when they've been in the final pairing together. He's 8-3-1 against Tiger since 2007 when playing together.
Enough talk about Tiger improving. This ain't tee ball. He's the most talented player ever, and with the chips on the line the last 3 tournaments and with a chance to win, Tiger has imploded. I believe he'll win again, but I don't think he'll ever be Tiger again.
