Steve Davis: Combine Week
Let me just say that to me, the combine is like watching paint dry.
I don't care how high the guy can jump or how fast he runs in no pads, or how he does in one on ones against a guy who might not play in the NFL. I understand why it's important, but call me when it's gametime. I have better things to do with my time.
Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge someone who wants to watch it. I just don't get it. Maybe when I was single, had no kids, and had plenty of time. But, nowadays, there's things I'd rather do, particularly watch games that count for real.
On that note, I don't get all the people that get caught up in recruiting. These are high school kids, and people treat them like their royalty. Call me when the Saturdays come around in September, and they're on a college field. Then, I'll pay attention
