State Works To Double Mass Transit Passengers
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The state is on track with a goal to double the number of passengers on its buses and rail lines. The Transit Administration says it's expanding a sunrise service, an early morning, weekend bus line to and from BWI Thurgood Marshall.

Passengers catching a red-eye from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport just got an early morning way to get to the airport on time.
Starting this weekend, the Maryland Transit Administration plans to expand its sunrise shuttle, a bus line that travels to and from the airport between 4:30 and 6:30 on Sunday morning.
"There was positive feedback from folks that were using the service," said MTA spokeswoman Paulette Austrich.
Austrich says it's also ideal for early morning workers at the airport.
"This is just another way that's really going to help those folks who work non-traditional hours at the airport," she said.
By bus, train and car, the MTA says it has a goal to double its ridership by 2020 and passengers say they're on board.
"That would be great," said John Cashman.
The MTA says more than 150 people ride the sunrise shuttle every weekend. BWI isn't the only stop; there's a stop at Arundel Mills Mall, as well. The shuttle leaves from the University of Maryland Transit Center.
The sunrise service also operates on early holiday mornings.
