Sports Rehab: Casey Stern talking Hot Stove Baseball
Casey Stern of MLB Network Radio joined Bob and Glenn to talk the moves being made and other possible moves in the baseball offseason.
The MLB offseason is underway and players seem to be either signing with new teams or staying with their current teams almost on a daily basis. The Miami Marlins made the biggest splash by re-signing Giancarlo Stanton to a record 13 year-325 million dollar contract. Stanton finished 2nd in the National League MVP voting. The AL Champs have lost a key cog in their engine as DH Billy Butler signed a 3 year-$30 million deal with the Oakland A's.
As far as free agent pitcher Max Scherzer goes, Stern says "I think he'll either be back in Detroit or go to the Yankees. The Cubs can't afford it, Texas isn't going to overpay, and the Red Sox would rather have Jon Lester back."
