Sources: Duquette Wants To Leave Orioles, Become Blue Jays' CEO
MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal has tweeted citing sources saying Dan Duquette wants to leave the Orioles, where he is Executive Vice-President of Baseball Operations, for the Toronto Blue Jays CEO position. Dan Duquette has been instrumental in the Orioles rise from cellar dweller to AL East Champions & is currently signed for 3 more years.
Recently honored as MLB Executive of the year, the move would be a step up for Dan Duquette & his loss would be a potentially greater blow to the Baltimore Orioles than the recent losses of Nelson Cruz (Mariners) & Nick Markakis (Braves).
Sources: Duquette wants to leave #Orioles, become #BlueJays' prez/CEO. Some with club not opposed to his departure. Angelos standing in way.

Duquette signed with #Orioles through 2018. Prez/CEO would be step up to business position, similar to what Dombrowski has with #Tigers.

#Orioles could require compensation from #BlueJays, just as #RedSox required compensation when Epstein left for #Cubs.
